Body Mass Index (kg/m^2)
BMI is calculated as weight in kilograms divided by the square of the height in meters (kg/m²). Asia-Pacific cut off points for BMI are as follows;

Limitation of BMI
BMI does not differentiate between total body fat, visceral fat, skeletal muscle mass, bone mass.

Normal 18.5 -22.9
Overweight 23.0 - 24.9
Obese <25.0
Caloric needs per day (kcals)
The Harris-Benedict equation calculates the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) using height, weight, age, and gender. Later, an activity factor is applied to estimate daily caloric needs.
